Based out of Guildford, Surrey, but working across the UK and beyond, Hiking Adventures was founded in 2024 by Salomon ambassador; Matt Buck, through a passion for all things trails.
Having celebrated ten years of Running Adventures, Matt decided it was finally time to offer walks on the incredible trails we love to explore when running, Hiking Adventures was born.

Hiking Adventures is run by Matt Buck, and experienced trail and ultra runner, coach, mountain leader, and adventure seeker.
I have been guiding people through challenge events for over 20 years, driven by my passion for anything involving the outdoors. As well as completing a number of ultra marathons and intense personal physical challenges, I've has also led groups on runs, treks and cycles all around the world.
When leading, I believe in a friendly, personable approach. Making sure everyone is safe and happy, I will always do everything within my power to ensure a lovely time for everyone.

- Completed the Corsica GR20 ('Toughest trail in Europe') in just 5 days (recommended 15-16 days)
- Previous holder of the 'fastest known time' for the Greensand Way (123 miles in 31:20:28) and Fox Way (37 miles in 7:52:53)
- Berghaus Dragon's Back Race finisher
- Marathon des Sables finisher
- 1st place - 5 Islands Ultra
- 11th place - Wild Elephant Trail, Sri Lanka
- Competed in various mountain races in the Alps
- Ran coast to coast across Scotland
- Part of Guinness World Record breaking RelayGB running team
- Ironman 70.3 Exmoor finisher
- Summited Mount Kinabalu (4095m) in Borneo and down again in one day
- Summited Mount Kilimanjaro (5895m) in Tanzania
- Summited Mount Toubkal (4167m) in Morocco twice
- Cycled London to Paris seven times
- Cycled Lands End to John O'Groats twice
- Cycled Venice to Genoa twice
- Cycled London to Frankfurt
- Trekked the Inca Trail, Peru (three times), the Namib desert, Namibia, Cambodia, coast to coast across the jungle in Costa Rica, Great Wall of China and more
- Visited all seven continents
